Dr Micki Pistorius is internationally recognised for initiating the Investigative Psychology Unit of the South African Police Service, spearheading criminal profiling. Her signature theory on the origin of serial killers forms the basis of her PhD in forensic psychology.

She has delivered keynotes on international podia and guest lectures at several universities. She consults to governments, members of the judiciary as an expert witness, international institutions and corporates and presents workshops. She is a prolific author and consults to television documentaries and series and she is an inspirational motivational speaker.

A psychological insight into men’s perceptions on relationships

I have walked with heroes and hunted villains. No one needs to remind me of how bad men can be. Perhaps my proficiency in profiling the very worst of men, also cultivated my ability to recognise good men – the heroes. This book is inspired by the everyday, unsung heroes who have crossed my path.

I interviewed many men and captured their unique and seldom expressed views on love, sex, marriage, divorce and platonic relationships. I employ Greek mythology as metaphoric setting, uses case studies to illustrate themes and supplement the text with explanations on psychological concepts. Enjoy the journey

Writing has always been my first passion. I used writing as a catalyst to process the horrors I was experiencing as a profiler and from there myautobiography, Catch me a Killer was born. From there six more books followed and now I publish on my platforms. In 2024, Catch me a Killer was turned into a television series of the same name, streamed globally and the British actress Charlotte Hope was nominated for an Emmy Award in her role as me in the series! I am so proud of her.
